Researcher, Builder,
Father and Explorer
I am a researcher, software developer, hardware builder, author, poet, husband, father, and lifelong student of difficult questions.
I spend much of my time investigating large problems involving information, time, geometry, computation, consciousness, signals, and the structure of reality. I do not want those ideas to remain words on a page. I work to turn them into equations, software, circuit boards, experiments, games, machines, and tools that other people can examine for themselves.
I see myself as a visionary, but also as a builder. Vision matters most when it can be tested, challenged, improved, and eventually placed into someone's hands.
Principles That Guide the Work
Open Research
All work should remain testable, replicable, correctable, and improvable by anyone.
Honest Inquiry
Ask the difficult questions. Follow the evidence wherever it leads, even when it is uncomfortable.
Love and Light
Move through the world with compassion, humility, and genuine care for others.
Build, Don't Just Think
Vision matters most when it can be tested, challenged, improved, and placed into someone's hands.
Family First
No discovery or system is worth more than the people and moments that give life its meaning.
Question Everything
The instinct to look beneath systems — to understand how they work and rebuild them differently.
Science and Spirituality
Both Begin with Wonder
My spiritual life is an important part of who I am. I meditate, pray, and try to move through the world with love, light, humility, curiosity, and compassion.
Science and spirituality are not identical, but both can begin with wonder and the courage to ask deeper questions. The Metatron Framework did not begin in a laboratory. It began in a moment of extraordinary experience — and the discipline to follow that experience into mathematics, equations, and testable predictions.
"I am a visionary, a poet, a lover, a friend and a builder. I try to solve large universal problems without forgetting the people and moments that give the work meaning."— Richard Careaga
The Work Is Not Everything
When I am not researching, writing, programming, designing electronics, or building game worlds, I value time with my family and the world outside the screen.
The Progression of the Work
The First Machine
Early fascination with computers, networks, games, and the emerging internet. Learning to see beneath systems.
Writing and Exploration
Personal writing, creative exploration, and the formation of a worldview that would drive everything that followed.
The Metatron Experience
An extraordinary vision that could not be dismissed — the beginning of a mathematical and scientific investigation.
The Gardener Published
A memoir of curiosity, underground internet culture, and the hacker instinct to look beneath every system.
The Metatron Chronicles
Publication of the book documenting the journey from vision to mathematical framework.
The Careaga Discovery
Formal research publication: invariant signal processing, phase geometry, and the Metatron Framework.
Metatron Research Founded
Launch of an open-science program investigating information geometry, constants, phase, time, gravity, and compression.
Metatron Harmonics
Development of the multi-sensor acquisition and phase-analysis platform built with Godot and C#.
Sensor Array Built
Construction of the physical multi-sensor array — six pillars covering magnetic, thermal, LiDAR, RF, audio, and more.
LightSpeed Studio
Formation of the independent software and game-development company behind Metatron's Ascension and Golden Phase OS.
Golden Phase OS
Creation of the KairOS phase kernel and four-state computing architecture — computing beyond zero and one.
Mikros & Makros Boards
Design of native phase-computing development hardware for embedded and full-platform phase computation.
Prototyping Station & Beyond
Integrated desktop engineering station, commercial hardware products, and continued open research systems.
Connected Systems
Each project is part of one continuing investigation — from books to research to software to hardware.
